The City of Warrenton is seeking a Librarian/Project Manager for a part time temporary position with the Warrenton Community Library.  This position will oversee the Library’s automation project which will include automating the Library, adding or merging catalog holdings to a shared integrated Library System using The Library Corporation, setting up circulation workflow preferences, training volunteers and staff on the use of the circulation and cataloging workflows, and generally overseeing the full automation project.  The Library currently holds approximately 20,000 items.

Ideal candidate will possess

Complete understanding of MARC and library cataloging rules, including creating full catalog records to OCLC standards if necessary.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication and problem solving skills
Strong attention to detail
User services skills
The physical dexterity to reach, lift, bend, and manipulate boxes and books.
Good vision and hearing

Computer and Internet knowledge is required.

Must be able to fulfill all the duties of the job as described.

Pay $18/hr.  plus benefits as required by Oregon law for PERS

Project will start on or about October 1, 2018 and is anticipated to take no more than 3-4 months at 20 hours per week.  The work week days may be flexible to adapt to the project manager’s schedule but all work must be done on-site and with prior permission by the Library Manager.
